Q: What’s the difference between ER308 and ER308L?
A: The “L” stands for low carbon. ER308L offers superior resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding — especially important in high-temperature or food-grade environments.

Q: Can BLUME® ER308L be used for 304 and 304L stainless steels?
A: Absolutely. It’s specifically designed for 304L, 308L, and other low-carbon stainless grades, but also performs well with 304 base metal.

Q: What shielding gas gives the best results?
A: Use 98% Argon + 2% Oxygen or 95–98% Argon + 2–5% CO₂ for excellent bead shape and low oxidation.
